A-8 This Autographed photo of Apollo 15 NASA Astronaut James Irwin shows him removing some equipment from the LRV (Lunar Rover Vehicle - Electric car) at the Hadley Rill - Apennine area of the moon on 1 August 1971. See photo below of the US Flag Irwin brought back from the moon for McClelland. The flag was safely kept in a sealed plastic container that was in one of the white bags shown on the LRV. This photo was authentically autographed by Astronaut James Irwin when he returned to earth and visited the Kennedy Space Center to thank the launch team andMcClelland. Following his astronaut career, Irwin became very involved in his High Flight organization and searched for Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat in Turkey. Sadly, Irwin died on 8 August 1991 age 61 from a heart attack. A copy of this photo will accompany the RARE US Flag below when the flag is purchased.
