A-26 These are standard sized match books that were created by Howard Hughes when he was still living in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1969. He had a deep respect for the NASA Astronauts and especially those who were flying to the moon with the Apollo missions. These books were created for the Apollo 13 Commanded by NASA Astronaut James Lovell that had the explosion occur and nearly caused the crew to be lost in space. I call it our most successful lunar mission. Apollo 14 match books which was Commanded by Alan Shepard, our first NASA Astronaut to fly a sub-orbital mission earlier in 1961. They are VERY RARE and will never be available again. I have several such match books for sale.
